On his first death anniversary.
I’ll remember Alan Rickman for being the actor who could create moments which made us loathe him in some, and adore him in others. His acting in the Harry Potter series was truly brilliant. I remember thinking how somebody could make us despise him while he gave Harry a tough time, and how the same person could make us feel his pain as he held Lily after she was killed. Alan Rickman helped us experience the true essence of the character.
But, Snape? His character has a lot more depth than as portrayed in the movies.
He died, for me, not on 14th January 2016, but when I read it in the book.
