Getting Started

It can’t be coincidence. It just can’t. When two absolutely totally completely unrelated friends give you the same piece of advice, there’s got to be something more to it, right? Maybe “God“ is telling you sending you some sort of a signal. And if you’re an atheist, it’s a sign from the universe, perhaps?

Maybe, both these friends know that all you need is a dash of motivation to help you stop procrastinating and undermining yourself.  So you finally choose to give things a shot.  And that’s exactly what I decided to do when two of my friends “coincidentally” told me to start working on my own blog. I secretly think that this was a conspiracy, even though I don’t know how either of them could have contacted the other, but, hush, keep this between just you and me, don’t tell them I said that!

Signs. The universe is always sending out signs to us. Yes, it’s a constant process, but you know what I think? I think, we treat those little incidents as signs only when we are truly looking for a trigger to get things started for us, only when we are ready to tune our mind to the same frequency and just…listen.

I started going through the poems I had written a few years ago and the pieces of paper I used to pen down my thoughts on (yes, I tend to preserve every little scrap of paper on which I’ve described emotion, a phase, or just a moment..), and I thought to myself, I’m not all THAT bad, you know? So here I am, finally, finally getting started.

And you, yes you, sitting there, staring at this post, at the expense of sounding preachy, I have something to say.

Stop doubting yourself, you’ll do just fine.
